Are You A Slave?
It seems like everyone either hates or loves the idea of slavery. I know, you are probably saying that nobody likes the idea of slavery and everyone hates the idea of being a slave. The empirical evidence says otherwise.
Let us look at the definition of slavery:
1. The condition of being enslaved, held, or owned as human chattel or property; bondage.
2. A practice or institution that treats or recognizes some human beings as the legal property of others.
3. A state of subjection like that of a slave: He longed to escape the slavery of drug addiction
4. Severe toil; drudgery.
There has been a lot of obfuscation and outright lies about slavery since the beginning of humanity. We will look at some of this but not in chronological order.
Going back to the beginning of the African slave trade we see British Empire being a major participant in the purchase of Africans for slaves. They were shipped around the world subsequent human trafficking. However, who originally captured these people is rarely talked about because it does not fit the current political narrative. It was, wait for it- other black Africans who wanted to profit from selling their brethren.
Fast forward (we will come back) to the American Civil War. We were all taught that Brother killing Brother at the behest of the State was ostensibly about ending the practice of slavery in the southern states; but was it really?
Was it a grass-roots movement by the supposed more enlightened members of society in America? Hardly, there may have been a few that opposed it and others that virtue signaled their opposition to slavery. Yes, virtue signaling is nothing new.
In 1862 Lincoln was being challenged by Newspaper journalist Horace Greeley about the war. When he said “My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.” https://www.loc.gov/resource/mal.4233400/?st=text
The issue was State’s rights and the South wanted equal representation as well as other issues to do with direct trade to Europe but that is for another article.
The North wanted total control of what the country consisted of as well as whatever else it could take by force.
This brings us to the Indian Wars. In the early settler years the relations between the Natives and early settlers was a mixed bag. There were tribes more amenable to selling land, tolerating white settlement while others engaged in warfare for their land and resources. As the railroads moved west they actually imported immigrants from Europe to build out from the railroads to support the existence of the railroads.
The Indian Wars were going hot and heavy well before and after the Civil War. If there was benevolence on the public’s behalf to end slavery of the black men and women, why was there not a similar movement on the behalf of the Native population? Yes, there were a few people in the East that were supportive of the Native people and their struggle but it was not enough to overcome the greed and control that predicated the war against them.
Many emancipated slaves did not know what to do with their new found freedom. Many migrated north to be a prime source of cheap labor before and durng the coming industrial age. Some stayed in the South and other areas to farm until the Depression drove them into the cities. This led to more cheap labor for the Robber-Barons. It also destroyed the family unit by introducing them to welfare. So, we have to ask: were they any better off or even ‘free’ after they became chattel for the Northern States? This shows the physical slavery morphing into an open air prison that houses most of humanity.
If someone does not think they are a slave does that make it true? Most don’t want to think of themselves as a not being free. After all, we are sold the slogan: “Land of the brave, home of the free”. Anyone who disputes that used to be labeled un-patriotic at a minimum and trounced out of the tribe at as a more severe way to quiet dissent.
With the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 the stage was set to create another kind of slavery previously unseen in America: Debt-Slavery. The Great Depression forced more people off the land and into the cogs of the Industrial Age. The industrialization of our food supply helped create Big Agriculture and more dependence on the Government. Television came along shortly after the Dust-Bowl and Great Depression. This created false illusions of what life is really about, which in turn created consumerism and ultimately hedonism. These did not help the family unit or individual freedom.
Between the false-flag events of all the wars this country has been involved in (another future article) class warfare was being foisted on America via the false narratives of “civil rights” and “equal rights”. I’m not saying that there is necessarily anything wrong with those in themselves. We all have inherent rights (Universal Law) as human beings. What I am saying is the ruling powers like the Rockefellers pushed (gas- lighted) these agendas to further divided people while enriching themselves even more at our expense. They pushed women out of the home using a blend of devaluing the dollar even more and an appeal to the sophistry of “freedom”. At some point having both parents working became a necessity to achieve and maintain the American dream; did that make anyone have less burden?
Being in debt can be one of the most crippling things a person can do. Often it has a snowball effect that many people can’t escape without some severe consequences.
This dream has turned into a nightmare and people have less freedom than 120 years ago.
Maybe it has to be this way though. On some level most people can’t handle the hard work and responsibilities of freedom. Many people like to be lied to; it gives them cover. Sure, there is no shortage of idiots saying we live in a ‘Democracy’ and that we have freedom.
How many millions of people around the world have marched (or been drafted) into wars in the name of freedom only to come home to a country that is less free than ever before? The phrase “domestic enemies” in their Oath are just words without meaning. To further prove my point we go back to the book of Genesis. Chapter 3 verse 5 "For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” .
I prefer the freedom and power of knowledge, yet it seems like most people only like the word freedom. If we look in the Bible we see that the God of the Old Testament advocated the taking of slaves, rape and the beating of slaves “However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
And “If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.’ If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)
“When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl’s owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment”.(Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
But wait, even the New Testament endorses slavery: “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)
The concept of being free is much more complicated than most people want to admit. We have to get all this old programming removed and replaced if we want to truly be free. It’s not about the right- left wing dichotomy. Furthermore, we need to recognize that the Church and the State are one and the same; there never has been a separation of the two in any real way.
What is the most widely printed and circulated book in history?
There are many things in the Bible that are true and there are universal truths in the Bible that superseded the Bible. However, the Bible has been used to keep people in Slavery and ignorance. You have to get in to the New Testament and read some of Jesus’ words to find anything remotely resembling empowerment of the individual.
I will leave you with this question: Are you ready to be free?
